Palestinian Leaders Call for “Days of Rage” Following Trump’s Recognition of Jerusalem as Capital of Israel

Following President Trump’s decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and move the U.S. embassy there from Tel Aviv, several leaders of countries in the region condemned the decision. Palestinian leaders have called for three “days of rage” in response to the change in U.S. policy. Many are concerned that the decision to recognized Jerusalem as Israel’s capital will jeopardize peace talks between Israel and Palestine, as well as acting as a catalyst for additional violence in the region.
